Summer Holiday Activities – Week 5 August 15, 2014

Happy Friday everyone, here’s next week’s activities for you:

Saturday 16th-Sunday 17th August

The Great Outdoors weekend at Standalone Farm. All weekend they have a 24ft rock climbing wall to try out, Saturday sees a static birds of prey show and Sunday try your hand at archery. All activities included in the standard admission fee.

Monday 18th August

9am-12pm Another chance to hit the beach at Icknield School.

10.45-11.30am Creative painting at the Secret Garden, Hitchin for 0-5s.

10-11.30am Gymnastics at Marriotts School, Stevenage.

11am-12pm craft making for 6-10yrs at the Secret Garden. £5.

2-2.45pm creative painting at the Secret Garden for 0-5s.

2pm Free film and popcorn at the Secret Garden.

2-3.15pm Football fun this week is at Lordship Farm school.

2-4pm Family festival of fun in Norton Common. If you missed the last one of these then get yourself down here to this fantastic free session run by NHDC. They have inflatables, craft activities, sand play area and loads outdoor toys and games. The best thing of all – it’s all completely free!

Tuesday 19th August

10.30am-12pm Explorers Walk in Norton Common. Join Icknield Children’s Centre for an explorers walk and woodland story and bring a picnic.

10.45-11.30am Messy play at the Secret Garden for 0-5s.

11am-12pm Loom band workshop for 6-10 yrs at the Secret Garden. £5.

12-3pm Teddy Bear’s Picnic in the Broxbourne Civic Hall Gardens. Suitable for 3-7 year olds, bring your teddies and your picnic, there will be a teddy bears show full of songs, games and stories plus there will be music, arts and crafts, competitions and more. Tickets can be booked in advance here.

12-4pm head down to Avenue Park in Baldock for a Family Fun day. Bouncy castle, arts and crafts, face painting and more free activities.

2pm Free film and popcorn at the Secret Garden.

Wednesday 20th August

10-11.30am Marriotts gymnastics. This is the last opportunity this holiday to try this open gym session.

11am and 2pm story time with Usborne books at the Secret Garden for 0-5s.

11am-12pm Arty sessions for 6-10yrs at the Secret Garden. £5.

1-2.30pm Messy Play at Jackmans Community Centre. Drop in, 50p donation.

2-2.45pm messy play at the Secret Garden for 0-5s.

2-2.30pm Toddler yoga at the Secret Garden for 3-5yrs. £5.

2pm Free film and popcorn at the Secret Garden.

Thursday 21st August

10-10.30am Daisy Cakes at the Secret Garden for 2.5-5yrs. £5.

10.30-11.30am Stay and play session with the Children’s centres at Spring Road Scout Hut. Drop in, 50p donation.

10.45-11.30am Water play for 0-5s at the Secret Garden.

1-3pm Den building with Icknield CC. Free drop in session on Icknield School field – building dens and playing camping!

1-2pm Kindy Drama class at the Secret Garden for 3-5 year olds. £5.

2-2.45pm Water play at the Secret Garden.

2pm Free film and popcorn at the Secret Garden.

2-4pm Family Festival of Fun at Avenue Park, Baldock.

Friday 22nd August

10.30am-12pm The Beach at Ivel Court, Jackmans Estate. Sand and water play with themed arts and crafts for 0-5s. Free drop-in.

10.30-11.30am Play Music Play session at Icknield Children’s Centre. £1 per family, booking required.

10am-2pm The beach at Icknield School.

11-11.30am Summer singalong for 0-2yrs at rhe Secret Garden £5.

2-2.45pm Secret Garden party for 0-5yrs.
